Given that today, April 20, is a day for celebrating cannabis and cannabis culture, we thought it might be fund to dive into the Wayback Machine for a couple of conversations that concerned cannabis.
Mark Lewis of Prrl Labs
We're doing something cannabis specific for 420 Day. Not only are we talking to the wildly interesting Mark Lewis the founder of Prrl Labs about cannabis, his rocket-science-influenced cannabis vaporizer that allows cannabis users to taste all of the terpenes and none of the smoke, and the stigma surrounding cannabis, Cami Kaos and Rick Turoczy — and potentially Mark Lewis — will be live in the chat watching along with you as the episode premieres at 4:20PM PT on April 20, 2023.
Tyler Lau of function.house
Tyler Lau of Function House joins Cami Kaos and Rick Turoczy on Mildly Interesting People to talk through his designs, inspiration, and his experience with being incarcerated. Function House fills a gap in the cannabis market for stylish and functional smoking accessories. Amongst the psychedelic colors, leaf prints, and cheap materials, we combine minimalist sophistication with innovative features and engineering to make truly great tools. Tyler, an industrial designer by trade, founded Function House in 2020, a few years after serving a prison sentence for cannabis in the state of Kansas. Experiencing criminal injustice as a visible minority fueled his desire to destigmatize this substance and the communities who partake.
